This full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu includes several prominent religious monuments. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a World Heritage site located in front of the old royal palace, and learn about the former Kathmandu Kingdom from your professional guide. Then move to another ancient city Patan. The influences in the city have transcended centuries, culminating in the 12th to 16th centuries under the Malla Dynasty. Take your time to admire the religious structures surrounding the main square, some of which highlight the Hindu Trimurti—the gods Vishnu, Brahma, and Shiva.Your guide gives you some free time to continue exploring this mystic place. Next, your tour moves towards the city of Bhaktapur, also known as the “City of Devotees.” As you wander along bustling ancient alleys, your eyes naturally shift skyward towards the impressive pagoda rooftops. The must-see building in Bhaktapur is the 99-foot-high (30-m) Nyatapol Temple, with 5 pagoda roofs towering above the market square. The temple still holds great importance to local people, with constant offerings taking place amid the clanging and tinkling of big and little bells.

Kathmandu-Patan-Bhaktapur Darubar Square

F/D tour of 3 Darubar Square by private a/c vehicle

Kathmandu Durbar Square:
This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples like Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (Abode of the Living Goddess), Taleju temple, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla Kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17h -century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city.

Patan City:
Patan City is full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples with fine bronze gateways, Guardian Deities, and wonderful carvings. Krishna Mandir, which is one of the grandeur of the square, was built in 1637 by the king Siddhi Narsingh Malla. The entire temple is constructed of the stone. Noted for its craftsmen and metal workers, it is known as the city of fine arts or city of artists. The diversity of the medieval culture that allowed both Hinduism and Buddhism to flourish has left a rich legacy of impressive sightseeing in this city for today’s visitors.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square:
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the plaza in front of the royal palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom, 1401m above sea level. It is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is located in the current town of Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgoan. Which lies 14 km east of Kathmandu. While the complex consists of at least four distinct squares (Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square), the whole area is informally known as the Bhakapur Durbar Square and is a highly visited site in the Kathmandu Valley.
