After breakfast, experience the splendor of the Great Wall of China, the pride of China and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. On the way to Great Wall, have a short visit to a local Jade Factory to learn about Chinese Jade Culture. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace, which is the largest and best preserved of all the imperial palace gardens. On the way back to the hotel, stop at National Stadium (Bird Nets) and Water Cube and take some pictures outside. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, After breakfast, visit the Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. From Tiananmen Square enter the Forbidden City. Afterwards stop at the Silk Shop, where you can buy all sorts of silk products. This afternoon you tour the magnificent Temple of Heaven, a Ming Temple where the emperors performed annual rites essential for the well Beijing of their land. Overnighte at the hotel.
After breakfast, you take high speed bullet train to Xi’an. Compared with 12 hours overnight train, the new day train shortens the distance between Beijing and Xi’an to 6 hours. You arrive Xi’an at around 2pm, then begin city exploration. First visit Big Goose Pagoda, which was built 1,200 years ago. Next visit the Ancient City Wall which was erected in the 14th century Ming Dynasty. It is the best preserved, as well as the oldest and largest of the city defense systems in China.
After breakfast, visit the vast treasure of the underground army of the Terra-Cotta Warriors. As part of the tour, a short visit to a terra cotta replication factory will be arranged. This afternoon, visit the Banpo Neolithic Museum, the first museum built on the site of historical relics in China. This evening enjoy a spectacular Tang Dynasty Dinner Show. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, fly to Shanghai in the morning. Upon arrival, begin a city tour of Shanghai. The city tour takes you to the Yuyuan Garden, a classical Ming Dynasty garden with pavilions, towers and terraces. Then you head to the new district across from the Bund called Pudong to experience the economy boom in China. After lunch, you will visit the Bund and Nanjing Road, the longest shopping road in China. Afterwards enjoy the shopping time in Pearl Shop. Overnight at the hotel.
